Banana Butterscotch Pecan loaf cakes…

March 1, 2010

I literally just made these! Mmmm… the smell of banana cake and toasted pecans is still wafting around the house… and I’m eating one while sitting here typing my post… this is the life! This cake is a banana buttermilk loaf cake with chopped pecans and a butterscotch sauce dribbled over the top to top it all off. I’ve made it before, in the shape of cupcakes for the cupcake hero banana challenge, and while baking for an order today I couldn’t stand the thought of baking all day and having nothing to eat at the end of it! So I thought I’d try it out in its original form, and I’m so glad I did.

My mom called me earlier to let me know she’s going to be home late from work as its all crazy there, and so I told her about these little moments of pure pleasure which are waiting for her when she gets home, and It did its job, it cheered her up! Coz its just that kind of cake…

I’m not going to post the recipe, as you can find it here, but here are the pics!

Butterscotch makes anything better!

And finally…

One last thing… I’ve been adopted! :) In adopt a blogger I mean! Kristen at Dine and Dish matches newbies (such as me) up with veteran bloggers who will mentor us over a period of about 3 months. It’s an awesome way to get connected with other food bloggers and seek advice from seasoned bloggers. My “adopter” is Maris, from In Good Taste. More about her later on… in the mean time check out her blog! And think about getting adopted or adopting someone for the next round!
